Where I am from we weren't presented with many options. When there is a foundation with a lack of options you will find very unattractive tenants.....
HOPE
Hope feeds optimism and allows you to have a positive state of mind. However, it is not uncommon for those that are from an underrepresented background or an underserved area to lack hope. We want to facilitate a space where their hope can grow; If they have no hope how will they dream?
DREAM
Dreaming allows you to indulge an idea or aspiration, It fuels and elevates our ambition. Without the opportunity to dream we miss out on the possibility of the cure for cancer or the next technological advancement. We want to inspire their dreams by cultivating their creativity, we fuel their dreams by providing the knowledge, tools, and access to help them become a reality. OPTIONS
Options lead to opportunities that allow for someone to take a different path. Without options, you lose hope; you cant dream; your world is small. The future is not one that you view with optimism. We want those that are from an underrepresented background or an underserved area to know and understand their options. Nothing is black and white you have options there is a choice.
CHOICES
So why did we start this program? Well, we all have many choices in our lives and many of those choices come down to two very simple options. 1. To ACT or 2. Not To ACT, I am a product of the underrepresented and underserved areas. I know first hand what it is like to have no options, no hope and to be unable to dream.
So I chose to ACT because my life could have turned out very differently. I am the students we aim to serve and I want them to know that they have a choice to listen to the options that will allow them to dream and restore the hope that they lost.
THE MISSION
Teen Tech Titans' mission is to cultivate the curiosity of underrepresented youth by providing equitable access to support their wonder and knowledge in business and technology. We supply the structure and guidance to enhance learning, spread love and restore hope in the future for the children and young adults we serve. We build confidence in our constituents’ skills and ability to drive toward that future.
